Located just over 220 kms north of Whitehorse off the Alaska Highway, with spectacularly scenic views overlooking Kluane Lake’s Christmas Bay, Shakat Tun Retreat Centre is the perfect place to go when your group needs to get away from the everyday. We have all the amenities you need to be comfortable in a wilderness context.

The Yurt
Our 25-person capacity yurt is perfect for meetings, workshops and meals. Whether you’re discussing difficult topics, learning something new, trying a new yoga pose, or making something beautiful, our spacious and comfortable yurt is a great place to gather.
The Workshop
Whether your groups wants to make knives, drums, or something else, our workshop is well-equipped with many tools and enough space for 8-10 people, depending on what you want to make.
Outdoor Fire Pits
Enjoy the time honoured tradition of gathering around the campfire to share stories and make meaning. With views of the spectacular Kluane Range overlooking the magnificent Kluane Lake, you won’t want to be anywhere else – but if you’re looking for a little more shelter and still want to breathe in the fresh Yukon air, you can gather together under our gazebo instead.
Cabins & Wall Tents
We have four hand-built log cabins, capable of accommodating 4-8 people each. If wanted, we can provide additional accommodations using wall tents. With showers and outhouses, our accommodations are rustically comfortable – which means that you and your group will have an enjoyable and authentic wilderness experience.
Kitchen
We have an inspected and permitted commercial kitchen, capable of providing meals for up to 25 people.
